The Ball.
Made for the finest courts.

Pallia is a new standard in padel, engineered to competition specification and finished to the standard of the clubs that will carry it. We begin, deliberately, with the ball.

The Collector Book Box

The Collector Book Box

A box you would leave on the shelf.
On purpose.

Three balls, presented in a book-style case built from heritage materials. It is the piece we make for members, clubs and the players who want the object as much as the game.

The Ball

Built to specification. Finished like nothing else on the market.

A consistent core, a felt built to hold its pace across a full match, and a pressurised canister designed to be kept rather than binned. Details most brands treat as packaging, we treat as the product.

Rubber coreTwo moulded halves joined under heat. Wall thickness sets the feel; ours sits at the firm end of tolerance.
Wool-blend feltNeedled and shrunk so the nap stands up. Wool holds pace; nylon stops it balding on court glass.
Two-panel seamTwo dumbbell panels bonded over the core. Set tight so the ball spins true and the glue line never lifts.
Pressurised interiorCharged below tennis pressure for padel's lower bounce, which is why the canister is pressurised too.

Wool-blend felt I

A high-wool cloth, needled and shrunk so the nap stands up. Wool holds pace through a match; nylon in the blend keeps it from balding on rough court glass.

Two-panel seam II

Two dumbbell-shaped panels of felt bonded over the core. The seam width is set tight so the ball spins true and the glue line never lifts.

Rubber core III

Two moulded rubber halves joined under heat. Wall thickness governs feel: thicker walls play slower and last longer, and we set ours at the firm end of the tolerance.

Pressurised interior IV

The core is charged to competition pressure, lower than a tennis ball, which is what gives padel its slower, lower bounce. This is why our canister is pressurised: the first ball out plays like the first ball in.

Philosophy

Padel has grown quickly. Little of it has been made with care.

Most balls on court today are built for volume. They're made for pro-shops and ball machines, not for the venues that have invested in the sport as an experience. Pallia takes the opposite approach: a smaller run, tighter tolerances, and a presentation built for clubs that already think this way about everything else on their premises.

Every canister is designed to sit as comfortably on a members' bar as it does in a coach's basket, because for the clubs we work with, that is exactly where it will be.

The name is older than the sport. A pallium was the mark of the Greek and Roman elite, worn by philosophers, teachers, statesmen. Not clothing for anyone. Clothing for someone who had already arrived. We borrowed the name for the same reason.

Where it began

Pallia began on a court in Bali, and nearly didn't happen at all.

Our founder, Joseph Breed, found padel while travelling in 2023 and kept playing when he came home. A year in, illness took him off court for the best part of a year. Through treatment and recovery, the one thing he wanted was to get back on court.

Pallia is what came of that: a brand for players and clubs who treat the game as something worth making properly. Nothing here is made to fill a shelf. It is made the way you make things when you have had time to think about what matters.

“I spent a year wanting to be on court. When I got back, I wanted everything about it to be done well.”

For Venues

A ball your members will ask about by name.

We work with a small number of premium clubs and venues across the UK, supplying trade volumes and, where it suits the venue, a co-branded canister. If your courts are the kind members choose deliberately, we'd like to talk.
